Tir Gafr

Tir Gafr is on the edge of Harlech. It's a detached, modern house built right on the dunes. The view is the main thing. You look straight out over the Royal St. Davids golf course, then the beach, and you can see all the way across the bay to Shell Island on a clear day.

It sleeps seven in four bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. Everything's been done up recently. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The upstairs is all open plan: kitchen, dining, and living area. Big sliding doors open onto a large balcony. You can eat out there. Downstairs, three of the bedrooms have French doors that open onto a lower terrace.

You can walk to the beach from the house. It's about a mile to the sand. The golf course is literally next door. Harlech itself has shops and a couple of pubs, all within walking distance. You can get supermarket deliveries here.

For facilities: it's got parking on site, including an electric vehicle charger. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.

Harlech castle is just up the road. Portmeirion is about 20 minutes away by car. For walking, the Snowdonia National Park starts not far from here. Useful links: Snowdonia National Park and Cadw page for Harlech Castle.
