Tir Gafr is on the outskirts of Harlech. It's a modern house, detached, built into the hill. The front looks out over the golf course to the sea. The view is the main thing. You can see all the way from Snowdon, across the bay to Shell Island.
It sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well kept and comfortable.
The living area is upstairs. Kitchen, dining, and sitting room all together, with big sliding doors out to a balcony. You'll eat out there if the weather's any good. Downstairs, three of the bedrooms have their own doors to a lower terrace.
You can walk to the beach from here. It's about a mile, maybe twenty minutes. There's a path through the dunes. The golf course is the Royal St. Davids, right there. The town has a few shops and a couple of pubs. You can get supermarket deliveries, which we do.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. Parking for a couple of cars on the drive. There's an electric vehicle charger now.
For a day out, Portmeirion is about fifteen minutes away. National Trust Snowdonia has walks from Craflwyn. The Snowdonia National Park site is good for planning. Harlech Castle is run by Cadw.
No pets, sorry.
