Bod Eithin

Bod Eithin is a detached house in Harlech. It sleeps twelve, but that's over four bedrooms, so you'll need people sharing double beds and using bunk beds or the triple bunk room. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well equipped and comfortable.

The location is the main draw. You're a five-minute walk from the sand dunes and Harlech beach. It's a huge, flat, sandy beach. When the tide's out this goes on forever. Good for dogs and kids to run. The house looks over the Royal St David's golf course, and Harlech Castle is just up the hill. The views from the back garden across to the Snowdonia mountains are really something.

The garden is fully enclosed. There's a patio, a fire pit, and a hot tub. It's a good space for a group.

Inside, it's an open plan kitchen and dining room. The kitchen has what you need. The dining table seats everyone. The living room has plenty of sofas. There are three bathrooms, one is a walk-in wet room downstairs, which is handy.

Harlech itself has the basics: a few shops, a couple of pubs that do food, a small swimming pool. The castle is run by Cadw. The steepest street in the world, Ffordd Pen Llech, is here if you want to see it.

Within half an hour you can get to a lot. Portmeirion is about twenty minutes away. Barmouth and its bridge is a similar drive. Coed-y-Brenin forest for mountain biking is inland. For walking, you're on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. The Shell Island causeway and the Ffestiniog Railway at Porthmadog are close by.

Facilities: All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. There's parking for several cars on the driveway. We can take up to three dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if needed.
