Llys Cyngar is a detached house on the edge of Morfa Bychan, just back from the golf course. It's a quiet spot. You've got about an acre of front garden, so there's plenty of space for kids to run about.
It sleeps nine in four bedrooms and has two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not fancy. It's got an open fire in the living room and a hot tub outside in the garden.
The beach at Black Rock Sands is a few minutes' walk away. It's a long, flat sandy beach and you're allowed to drive onto it, which is useful if you've got a lot of gear or older people with you.
The village has a small shop and a pub that does food, both are a short walk. You can walk into Porthmadog along the coastal path in about 45 minutes, or drive it in five. Porthmadog has supermarkets, a few shops and cafes, and the station for the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland steam railways.
Within half an hour you've got Portmeirion village, which is an unusual Italian-style place to wander around. Harlech Castle is about ten miles south. Up the coast on the Llyn peninsula there are lots of quiet coves and villages.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: Visit Wales Attractions, National Trust Wales, and Cadw for the castles.
Facilities include the washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for several cars on the drive.
