So this is 4 Tan Y Bryn Terrace. It's a mid-terraced cottage in Prenteg, just a bit inland from the coast. It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom.
The main thing is the view. You look out across the valley towards the mountains. It’s a proper old cottage, but it’s been renovated inside so everything works. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped.
You’re half a mile from Pont Croesor station on the Welsh Highland Railway. You can hear the steam trains sometimes. It's nice.
Porthmadog is three miles away for shops, pubs, and the beach. There’s a local pub and a shop about a mile and a half from the cottage.
For days out, you’re in a good spot. The National Trust has places nearby for walks. You can drive up to Blaenau Ffestiniog for the zip lines and slate caverns, or into Snowdonia National Park proper. Portmeirion is close. It’s less than half an hour to most of that.
Inside, it’s open plan downstairs. There’s a washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
If you like walking or cycling from the door, it’s good for that. Or you can just sit and watch the light change on the hills.
