Glan-Y-Gors is a cottage in Beddgelert forest. It's detached and you're in your own bit of woodland. The views are of the mountains, Moel Hebog mainly.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which does mean it's well finished. Underfloor heating, a woodburner, that sort of thing. The living room ceiling is very high. It feels spacious.
You can walk straight from the door onto forest tracks. The Lôn Gwyrfai path is right there. You'll hear the steam trains from the Welsh Highland Railway sometimes.
Beddgelert village is about five minutes away by car. There's a shop, a couple of pubs. For walking, you're at the foot of several routes up Snowdon. The nearest is the Watkin Path, which starts from about two miles away.
Within half an hour you can drive to Caernarfon for the castle, or to Porthmadog. The National Trust Snowdon page is good for walking advice. The Snowdonia National Park site has more general information.
What's here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Parking is right outside. You can bring two dogs. All bedding and towels are included. There's a covered terrace outside the front.
