This is Glan-Y-Gors in Beddgelert. It's a really secluded, detached cottage in its own bit of woodland. They designed it from scratch a few years back, so it's quite modern inside.
It’s for two people. One bedroom, one en-suite bathroom with a big shower. It has a fancy 5 Star rating, which means everything is new and works well. Underfloor heating, that sort of thing. There's a woodburning stove for the evenings. The stairs aren't a problem, it's all on one level.
You get a big covered terrace out the front. It looks straight out at the trees and Moel Hebog mountain. Because it's covered, you can sit out there even if it's raining. The forest comes right up to the garden.
You can walk for miles straight from the front door on forest tracks. You’re right next to the Lôn Gwyrfai path. There's a waterfall on the property too. Beddgelert village is a few minutes' drive, or a decent walk. They've got a couple of pubs, a shop, an ice cream place.
You’re right in Snowdonia. You can get to the footpaths for Snowdon itself without much driving. The Welsh Highland Railway goes through the valley, which is nice to see. You can drive to Caernarfon in about half an hour.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden isn't fully enclosed, but it's woodland, so they'll need to be on a lead. Parking is right outside.
