Cil Y Felin is a bungalow just outside Beddgelert. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls. Everything's on one level.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bedroom has its own shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well kept.
The key thing is the location. It's right next to the Aberglaslyn Pass. The Welsh Highland steam railway runs past the bottom of the garden. You can see and hear it. Sometimes you can feel it. If you don't like trains, this isn't the place for you.
Beddgelert village centre is about a five minute walk. There are a couple of pubs that do food and a few shops. The station for the steam railway is there too.
You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. The walks from the door are very good. You can follow the river through the pass. For bigger days, you're close to the foot of Snowdon itself. You can drive to Pen-y-Pass or other start points in about twenty minutes.
You can get to Porthmadog in under fifteen minutes by car. Betws-y-Coed is about half an hour. The Llyn Peninsula coastline is also within half an hour's drive.
Facilities wise: there's a woodburning stove, an enclosed garden, parking right outside, WiFi, and a washing machine. We take up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
