Cil Y Felin is a cottage just outside Beddgelert, on the road towards the Aberglaslyn Pass. It's a single-storey building, so everything's on the ground floor. It sleeps two.
The house is detached. You get your own garden, which is enclosed. There's parking right outside.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-kept. The bedroom has an en-suite shower room. There's a woodburning stove in the living room, which is handy in the cooler months. It has a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Towels and bedding are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
The location is the main thing. The Welsh Highland Railway runs right past the bottom of the garden. You'll see and hear the steam trains chuffing by. It's quite a thing. The path into the Aberglaslyn Gorge, which is beautiful, starts almost at the gate.
Beddgelert village is about a ten-minute walk away. There are a couple of pubs that do food, some cafes, and a shop. The train station for the Welsh Highland Railway is in the village.
You're in a good spot for getting around. Porthmadog and its harbour are about a 15-minute drive. The Llyn Peninsula, with its beaches, is about half an hour. For forests and rivers, Betws-y-Coed is roughly 25 minutes away.
You're right on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. For walkers, the footpaths start from the door. If you want to visit castles or other heritage sites, Cadw has the information.
We accept up to two dogs. There's a fee for that.
