Ty Newydd

Ty Newydd is in Beddgelert. It's a detached stone cottage, built around the 1850s. It's right next to the Royal Goat Hotel, it was one of their outbuildings originally.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, with three bathrooms ensuite. It's got a 4 Star rating. The bathrooms were all done up recently. The kitchen is modern and has everything you need if you're cooking.

It's in the middle of the village. The pub is about 30 yards away. You can walk to everything from here.

The stairs inside are something to note. They're the original cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit narrow in places.

The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there.

For walking, you can get straight onto the hills from the front door. The Welsh Highland Railway station is two minutes walk. You can get the steam train to Caernarfon or Porthmadog from there.

A short drive gets you to a lot. The Zipworld sites for adventure stuff are nearby. Black Rock Sands beach is past Porthmadog. Portmeirion village is that way too. The castles, like Caernarfon, are within half an hour. Bodnant Garden is about a 40 minute drive.

The slate landscape here is a World Heritage Site now. You can see it at the National Slate Museum in Llanberis, or at Llechwedd in Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Facilities: wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Cot and highchair are here if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
