This is Ffestiniog View. It's a terraced house in Porthmadog. The name comes from the balcony, which looks out over the railway lines. You can see the steam trains from the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways chuffing past. They go up to Blaenau Ffestiniog or down towards Caernarfon. The mountain views the other way are good too.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, updated from when this was slate wharf land. You're on the South Snowdon Wharf Estate, so it's private.
The location is the main thing. You can drive to Black Rock Sands or Borth y Gest beach in a few minutes. The pub is about 100 yards away, and there's a shop 200 yards. They're handy.
For days out, you're in the middle of it. Criccieth with its castle is close. Portmeirion is that Italian-looking village, it's nearby. Beddgelert is a pretty drive. If you want activity, Blaenau Ffestiniog has the zip lines and underground trampolining. The mountain bike trails there are serious.
It has the things you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
