Tryfar House is in Harlech. It's a terraced house, up a quiet street a few minutes' walk from the main square.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, nothing too fancy. There's a woodburning stove for the cooler nights.
You're a short walk from the centre. There's a small grocer, a couple of cafes, a pub, and an ice cream shop. Harlech Castle is right there on the rock. It's a UNESCO site, very imposing. The golf course, Royal St Davids, is a few minutes down the hill. Another pub and shop are down there too.
The beach is about a mile away. You can walk it in 20 minutes or so. When you get there, it's sand dunes and a big stretch of beach. The coast path runs along it.
Barmouth is a short drive along the coast. It's got a promenade, fish and chips, that sort of thing. The old railway bridge across the estuary is worth seeing, you can walk across it.
Within half an hour's drive you've got quite a bit. Portmeirion is the Italianate village, it's unusual. Porthmadog has the steam railways. Blaenau Ffestiniog is an old slate mining town, now a UNESCO site. Llechwedd slate caverns and Zip World are up there if you want activities like underground tours or ziplines.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. Electricity is included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
