Sun Rise Lodge No 10

Sun Rise Lodge No 10 is in Llanbedr, right in the Snowdonia National Park. It's detached, set in a small, quiet group of lodges. You can park right next to it.

It sleeps seven. Three bedrooms. Good thing is, each bedroom has its own bathroom, so no one's queueing. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's modern, comfortable and well-equipped.

The living space is open plan. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can borrow a cot and highchair if you need them.

Outside, there's a patio area with a hot tub. It's private, for your use only.

The village shop and a pub that does food are a couple of minutes walk away. A nice, sandy beach is about a mile and a half down the lane. Good for sandcastles and paddling.

Harlech is five miles north. The castle is worth seeing. It's an English Heritage site. The championship golf course is there too. Barmouth, to the south, is about eight miles. It's a traditional seaside town with a harbour and a long beach.

The main thing here is the access to Snowdonia. You can walk straight from the lodge onto paths. The Rhinog mountains are right behind you. For driving, it's about half an hour to the foot of Cadair Idris, or to the climbing and walking around Beddgelert.

No pets allowed, I'm afraid.
