Bwthyn Bach

This is Bwthyn Bach. It's a little converted barn on the edge of Dyffryn Ardudwy village. It's semi-detached, so there's another cottage attached, but it's quiet. Sleeps two, one bedroom and a bathroom, all on the ground floor so no stairs to worry about. It's got a 5 Star rating, which just means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

Inside it's open plan, with the kitchen, dining and sitting area all in one room. The kitchen's decent, with a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a comfortable sofa and a TV. The bathroom is a good size with a powerful shower. The bedroom has a kingsize bed. All bedding and towels are included.

Outside, there's a small private patio with a table and chairs. You can see the sea from there. There's also a larger garden area that's shared with the two other cottages next door.

You can bring dogs, up to two. There's a bike storage shed if you're bringing cycles.

Location wise, you've got a shop about five minutes walk away. The pub and a restaurant are about ten minutes walk. The beach at Morfa Dyffryn is a mile down the lane. It's a long, sandy beach, good for walks.

You're right on the edge of Snowdonia National Park here. You can walk from the door straight into the hills. The old railway line, which is now a cycle path, runs past the village. You can cycle it all the way to Dolgellau one way or towards Barmouth the other.

Harlech, with its castle, is about a ten minute drive. Harlech Castle is worth a visit. Barmouth is fifteen minutes by car for more shops and the harbour. For a longer day out, you can drive into the heart of Snowdonia in about half an hour.

There's parking right by the cottage. It has WiFi. It's also decorated for Christmas if you book over the holidays.
