Barreg

Barreg is a house in Barmouth. It's on a quiet street a few minutes walk from the sea front. The house sleeps up to eight people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms.

It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable. We keep it clean and in good order. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids and dogs. You can bring up to two pets.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove for colder evenings. We provide the wood. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding is included. We've also got a cot, highchair, and a stairgate if you need them.

Barmouth itself is a proper seaside town. It's got a long sandy beach, a pier, and lots of fish and chip shops. The promenade is good for a walk. For a longer walk, you can head over the Barmouth Bridge to the other side of the estuary. The views up to Cadair Idris are very good from there.

Snowdonia National Park starts just outside town. The Snowdonia National Park Authority website has walking routes and information. For a big day out, the National Trust in Wales looks after several nearby places, like the Harlech Castle estate.

Within about half an hour's drive, you can get to Harlech Castle, the beaches at Harlech and Shell Island, and the Fairbourne Railway. The town of Dolgellau is about twenty minutes away. The Coed y Brenin forest park is good for mountain biking if you're into that.

Basically, it's a solid house in a good location for the beach and the mountains.
