Y Gweithdy
So the cottage is called Y Gweithdy. It's in the middle of Barmouth, basically. Right in the town.
It's a 4 Star place, sleeps two. One bedroom and a shower room. It's open plan downstairs. The main thing is there's a staircase up to a roof terrace. You get a view over the roofs to the water.
You're right on top of everything. The beach is two minutes' walk. Pubs, shops, cafes, they're all about a minute away. We take one dog.
It's handy for the train station. The Cambrian Coast line goes through. You can get the train to places like Harlech or Aberdyfi without driving.
You can walk over the Barmouth Bridge onto the Mawddach Trail. That's a flat path all the way to Dolgellau. Good for cycling.
Further afield, Snowdonia is right there. You can be hiking up Cadair Idris in about twenty minutes. Harlech Castle is a fifteen minute drive north. The links at Royal St. David's golf course are next to it.
For something different, Zip World Titan is about forty minutes drive inland, past Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. It's got electric heating.
