Bryn Derw

This is Bryn Derw. It's a detached house in Cutiau, just outside Barmouth in North Wales. It's on its own, so there's no one right next to you.

It sleeps 11 people, which is a lot. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two of those bathrooms are downstairs. One of the bedrooms is downstairs too, a kingsize. Upstairs there are two superking rooms and a twin room. There's also a bunk bed room that sleeps three, which is off the games room.

The games room has a PlayStation, a football table, and some board games. The main living area has a wood burner. The kitchen is open plan with a big table.

Outside, there's a patio at the front with a view. The garden goes around the back and side into woodland. That part is steep in places, with some steep drops, so you need to keep an eye on kids if they're exploring there. The grounds have lights on the corners, so you can see if you arrive in the dark.

Barmouth is about a mile and a quarter away. That's where the shops, cafes, and a few pubs are. The nearest pub is about a mile from the house. The beach is two miles.

For walking, you can go from Barmouth over the viaduct and along the Mawddach Trail to Dolgellau. It's a nice, flat path on an old railway line. You can get the train from Barmouth too, north to Harlech or south.

If you drive, you can get to a lot in under half an hour. Harlech Castle is about 20 minutes north. To the south, you've got Fairbourne and its little railway, and Llwyngwril. For something bigger, Zip World at Blaenau Ffestiniog is about a 30 minute drive. That's where the underground trampolining and zip wires are.

The house has parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
