This place is Hen Ysgubor. It's a ground-floor flat in a converted barn on our farm in Friog, on the North Wales coast. The place above is another holiday let. The views are out over the Mawddach estuary, which is really quite something.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on the ground floor, so it's all level and the doorways are wide. There's a grab rail by the loo and a seat in the shower.
You've got your own enclosed garden area to sit out in. Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
We're a working farm, and there's a pony trekking centre on the north side if you fancy a ride. You can bring up to two dogs. We're on a quiet private lane, but the main coastal road is just there.
From here, you can walk straight down to Fairbourne beach. It's a good, sandy beach. There's also direct access onto the Mawddach estuary footpath and the cycle path. You can walk across the old railway bridge into Barmouth. It's about three quarters of a mile to the nearest shop and pub.
The area is part of the Snowdonia National Park. For walks and days out, National Trust Wales and Visit Wales have good information. You can drive to the Cadair Idris car park in about 20 minutes for bigger mountain walks. Barmouth is just over the bridge, and you can get to Dolgellau in maybe a 15 minute drive.
