Hen Ysgubor
Hen Ysgubor is a place we converted from one of the old farm barns. It's on the ground floor, with another holiday apartment above it. You're right on the farm here, overlooking the Mawddach estuary.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Because it's all on one level and has things like grab rails, it's quite good for someone with mobility issues. There's a step up into the shower though, so just be aware of that.
The best thing is the location. You can walk straight from the farm down to Fairbourne beach. Or you can walk along the Mawddach estuary path, which is lovely. It's about a twenty minute walk across the old bridge into Barmouth if you fancy it.
The farm has a pony trekking centre. You can book lessons if you want, and they can sometimes stable your own horse if you bring one. It's a working farm, so you'll see animals around.
There's a shop and a pub about three quarters of a mile away in Friog. Barmouth has more shops and places to eat. For walking, you're right on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The coast path is on your doorstep.
The place has a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and an enclosed patio area. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is on site.
