Ty Hir is a detached farm cottage on our working farm, Bwlch Gwyn. It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well equipped.
The location is the main thing. You're in Friog, right on the edge of Snowdonia and the Mawddach Estuary. You can walk straight from the farm gate down to Fairbourne beach. It's sandy and good for kids. From there you can walk across the old bridge into Barmouth.
The farm is an equestrian centre. There's pony trekking on site for beginners or experienced riders. It's on the north side, so it’s separate from the cottage. If you want to bring your own horse, we have holiday stabling you can book. We've also got some alpacas and pygmy goats here you can say hello to.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. Woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. The garden is enclosed. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
For a shop, pub, or the golf course, it's about three quarters of a mile into Fairbourne. The local pub does food.
If you want to explore, you're in a good spot. You're on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The Mawddach Trail is right there for walking or cycling. For bigger days out, Zip World and Bounce Below are about a 45 minute drive. You can get to Dolgellau or Harlech in under half an hour.
You can bring up to two dogs. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
