This is Hafan Yr Haul. It's a detached house near Arthog, right on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The house sleeps up to eight people in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms.
It's got a five star rating. That means it's well finished and everything should work. The layout is upside down, so the living room and kitchen are upstairs to get the view. The view is good, over the Mawddach estuary. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner.
Downstairs there are the bedrooms. Two of the super king beds can be split into twins if you need them to be. There's also a games room down there with a multi-game table and a PlayStation. That room has a day bed and a trundle, which is where the extra two sleeping spaces are if you need to go up to ten.
Outside, there's a garden and two patio areas. One has a gas barbecue. There's storage for bikes.
The Mawddach Trail is practically on the doorstep. It's a flat path along the old railway. You can walk or cycle to Barmouth one way or Dolgellau the other. Barmouth beach is about three miles.
For bigger walks, Cader Idris is right there. The Torrent Walk and Precipice Walk are both close by. Coed y Brenin forest, for mountain biking or walking, is about a twenty minute drive.
Barmouth, Fairbourne, and Aberdyfi are all within a half hour drive for beaches. Dolgellau is a ten minute drive for shops and a few pubs. Portmeirion is about forty minutes away.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
