Arthfan
Arthfan is a stone cottage about two miles outside Dolgellau. It looks straight up at Cader Idris. The view is pretty good. You can see it from the garden.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom upstairs too. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The living area is all open plan downstairs, with French doors that open onto the garden. It's light in there. The floors are wood and the sofas are leather.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have dogs. You can bring up to two. There's parking on the drive.
For getting around, you're well placed. There are public footpaths you can join from the door. For mountain biking, Coed y Brenin forest is about a ten minute drive. They've got all the trails there. Dolgellau itself has shops, pubs, a butchers.
Within half an hour you can get to a lot. Snowdonia National Park authority site has walking routes. The coast at Barmouth or Fairbourne is about twenty minutes. For something different, Surf Snowdonia or the Zip World places are within that thirty minute drive.
Facilities: it's got what you'd expect. Wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. There's a cot and high chair if needed. Bedding is included. You can store bikes.
