Arthfan

This is Arthfan. It's a stone cottage just outside Dolgellau in North Wales. The main thing is the view. You look straight out across the valley to Cader Idris. You can see it from the garden.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star rated place, so it's comfortable and has what you need. The living area is all open plan downstairs. There are French doors that open onto the garden.

The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can bring two. It's a proper slate and stone area with a table, so you can sit out there in the morning with a coffee.

You're right on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park here. There are public footpaths you can pick up from the lane. For mountain biking, the Coed y Brenin forest trails are about a ten minute drive. They're serious trails, properly built.

Dolgellau town is only a couple of miles down the road. It's got basic shops, a few pubs, and some decent cafes.

Within half an hour you can get to a lot. Barmouth and its beach are about twenty minutes west. To the north, you've got the Mawddach estuary. The Precipice Walk is a good, easy stroll with great views. For something different, Surf Snowdonia, where they make the artificial wave, is near Dolgarrog, about a 25 minute drive. Zip World at Blaenau Ffestiniog is about the same.

In terms of stuff here: there's parking right outside. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's WiFi. The stove is electric but looks like a wood burner. Bedding is included and we can provide a cot. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
