Gors Y Gader is in Dolgellau, right at the bottom of Cadair Idris. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level. That's good if you don't want stairs.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The garden is a good size, just a lawn really, and you look straight up at the mountain.
Dolgellau town is a five minute drive. It's a proper Welsh stone town with shops and a few places to eat. There's a monthly farmers' market. The Mawddach Estuary is nearby for walks. It's very flat there, which makes a change.
You're in Snowdonia National Park. For walks up Cadair Idris, you can start from the footpaths almost from the door. It's a proper mountain walk, so you need the right gear. If you'd rather drive, the coast at Barmouth or Fairbourne is about twenty minutes away. There's a mini golf course a couple of miles up the road towards the mountain.
For facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding is included. There's a cot. The garden is enclosed. You can bring two dogs.
