Bryn Aled is a detached house in Brithdir, North Wales. It's next to our house but you have your own space and garden.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. Sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. That's quite handy.
Downstairs is open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler nights and French doors to the patio. The hot tub is out there.
You can walk straight from the door into the hills. Coed y Brenin Forest Park is nearby for proper mountain biking trails and walking. They hire bikes.
Dolgellau is three miles away. It's a small town with shops, pubs, and places to eat. The Mawddach Trail starts there. It's a flat, nine-mile walk or cycle along an old railway line to Barmouth.
Barmouth has a big sandy beach, about a 20-minute drive. In the other direction, Bala Lake is about half an hour. You can get a steam train along the shore there.
For facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and TV. Parking is right outside. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
If you're planning trips, the Visit Snowdonia site is useful, and so is National Trust Snowdonia and Llŷn.
