This is Bryn Aled. It's a detached place next to our house, out near Brithdir in Gwynedd. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
Downstairs is all open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. French doors open onto the patio, and that's where the hot tub is. The garden is yours to use.
You can walk straight from the door into the hills. The National Trust Snowdonia page is good for ideas. Coed y Brenin forest park is very close, about ten minutes by car. They've got mountain bike trails and hire there if that's your thing.
Dolgellau is three miles away. It's a proper little town with shops, cafes, and a few pubs. The Mawddach Trail starts there, which is a flat, old railway walk all the way to Barmouth. Takes a few hours.
Barmouth's about twelve miles. It's got a long sandy beach. In the other direction, Bala Lake is around twenty minutes. You can get a steam train along the shore there.
For facilities: it's got parking, WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. It's fine for pets, we allow up to two.
If you're looking into the area more, Snowdonia National Park Authority is the official site for walks and planning.
