Tremafon is in Cutiau, right in Snowdonia. It's a detached barn conversion. It's secluded, you get the garden to yourselves, but the owners live in the main house next door. They're there if you need anything.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean, not a show home. Everything is on one floor, which is handy. The main living space is open plan.
The setting is the main thing. You're in the valley and the River Dwynant goes right through the grounds. You can hear it from the garden. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. You can bring one small pet.
There's a footpath right outside the gate, so you can start a walk straight from the door. For shops and a couple of pubs, you need to go to Barmouth or the local village, which is about three miles. Barmouth has a sandy beach too. It's a proper seaside town.
Harlech Castle and the golf course are about twelve miles away. There's fishing and horse riding locally if you arrange it. You can drive into the heart of the mountains pretty easily from here.
For facilities, it's got what you need: woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking, bike storage, and WiFi. The shower is over the bath.
