Y Stablau is an apartment attached to the main farmhouse here in Tal y bont. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It’s got a 3 Star rating.
The place is for two people, no more. It’s on the ground floor. The doorways between rooms have curtains instead of doors, which is a bit rustic but it works. The sitting room is small and has a wood burner. The kitchen is pine with some exposed stone. They’ve used an old hay basket as a pan rack.
There’s a long sun lounge with lots of glass, which is nice when it’s sunny. Outside at the front there’s a raised patio with a picnic table. You look out over stone-walled fields down to the sea. It’s very quiet and not overlooked.
The patio area is private and enclosed, with a rockery around it. That’s useful if you have a dog, which you’re welcome to bring. One dog is allowed. There are a couple of dog-friendly pubs nearby.
For facilities, it has WiFi, satellite TV, parking right outside, and bedding and towels are included. It’s a straightforward place. Good for a couple wanting a quiet break.
You’re between Harlech and Barmouth. The coast path is accessible from here. A local golf course is nearby. For wider planning, the Snowdonia National Park site and the National Trust Wales pages are useful.
