Rhosmair is in Llanaber, on the northern edge of Barmouth. It's a detached house, so you're not sharing any walls. It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and everything works, but it's not a luxury hotel.
The big thing about it is the view. You look straight out to sea. There's a patio where you can sit outside, and inside there's a window seat in the living room where you can watch the sun set.
You can walk into Barmouth centre. It's maybe a ten minute walk. There are pubs, places to eat, and the beach. The beach is sandy. The Barmouth Bridge is there for walking or cycling over, and from there you can get on the Mawddach Trail, which follows the old railway line to Dolgellau. It's a flat, easy path.
Harlech Castle is about nine miles south. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site. For something different, Portmeirion is just over half an hour's drive north. It's an Italianate village, a bit odd but interesting.
For walking, you've got the coast path right there, and the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park is very close. Cader Idris is the big mountain in that part, if you're up for it.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden is enclosed. You can bring two dogs.
The stairs inside are standard for a house like this, so not a problem for most, but they are there. There's a shower over the bath.
