Brig-Y-Don

Brig-Y-Don is in Llanaber, just outside Barmouth in North Wales. It's a detached house, but it's been split into two separate holiday lets. You'd be in the main part, which sleeps six. The smaller one, Brig-y-Don Bach, has its own entrance and patio, and you can book both together if you need to.

There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The best thing is the view from the kitchen and dining area. It looks straight out over Cardigan Bay. You can sit and watch the sea all day. The living room has a wood burner for cooler evenings.

The garden is shared with the other property but it's enclosed and you get your own seating area. It slopes down and the views from the bottom are really good, especially at sunset. There's a path at the end of the garden that takes you down to a railway crossing, and then you're on the beach in a few minutes. It's sandy and it's less than half a mile away.

You can walk along the promenade into Barmouth centre. There are pubs, cafes, and shops there. The Mawddach Trail for walking or cycling starts nearby. It follows an old railway line to Dolgellau.

If you're driving, Harlech Castle is about twenty minutes up the coast. The Ffestiniog and Talyllyn steam railways are within half an hour. For something different, Zip World in Blaenau Ffestiniog is also about a thirty-minute drive.

For facilities, you've got parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We accept up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed so that's handy.
