Bryn Derwen Llanfair

Bryn Derwen is in Llanfair, near Harlech in North Wales. It's a modern house, recently renovated. It sleeps six, has three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well finished.

The main thing is the garden. It's got a seating area that looks straight out to sea. There's plenty of space for kids to run around. You can park on the drive.

The nearest beach is at Llandanwg, about a two minute drive. It's a good sandy beach for buckets and spades, or you can fish from there. There's a cafe in the dunes if you don't fancy a picnic.

Llanfair Slate Caverns and Farm Park is just down the road, you can walk there. Harlech village is a couple of minutes away by car. It's got the castle, which is a World Heritage Site, pubs, cafes, and a huge beach. Ffordd Pen Llech, the steepest street in the world, is there too.

If you golf, Royal St David's is in Harlech. The course looks right at the castle. It's very well known.

You're on the Cambrian Coast railway line here, which is a nice way to see the area without driving. Porthmadog is about twenty minutes away. That's where you get the Ffestiniog Railway steam trains. Portmeirion, the Italianate village, is also about twenty minutes drive. For something more active, Blaenau Ffestiniog has Zipworld and Bounce Below, which is about half an hour inland.

For facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. We're set up for a Christmas stay too.
