Snowdon House
Snowdon House is in Porthmadog. It’s a big house for a big group. It sleeps sixteen.
It’s a 5 Star property, so everything is in good order and the finish is comfortable. There are eight bedrooms and six bathrooms. Two dogs are allowed.
The main thing is the separate games and cinema room above the garage. It has a big projector screen, a pool and air hockey table, and a foosball table. You get to it through the courtyard. There is a bedroom and a wet room on the ground floor in that annex too.
Just be aware, getting between the annex and the main house involves a few steps. We can provide blocks to make a ramp. The doorways into the main house are 80cm wide.
Inside the main house, there’s a lounge with a wood burner, a good sized kitchen, and a dining table that seats everyone.
The location is straightforward. Porthmadog is the town here, it’s a harbour place. There’s a pub and a restaurant about 100 yards away. Black Rock Sands beach is a mile from the house. It’s a big, sandy beach with dunes.
For trips out, Portmeirion, the Italian-style village, is very close. Harlech and its castle are a short drive. The Ffestiniog area, about a twenty minute drive, has a lot: Zip World, underground trampolining at Bounce Below, and mountain biking trails.
The Snowdonia National Park is all around for walking. The Welsh Highland Railway starts in Porthmadog.
Facilities are what you’d expect: parking, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them.
