Gaerwen is our place on the high street in Criccieth. It's a Victorian townhouse, terraced with the others. You get the garden out the back, it's enclosed and grassy with a view over the fields.
It sleeps six people in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom. We've got the 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. The stairs are something to know about. They're open, spiral, and quite steep in parts. If you've got very small children or mobility issues, it might not be the best fit.
You're right on the high street, so the shop, pubs, and places to eat are about fifty yards away. The beach is a few minutes' walk down the hill. Criccieth Castle is up on the headland, you can see it from places. The coastal path starts nearby if you fancy a walk, the views over the bay to Snowdonia are good.
For days out, Snowdonia National Park is about a 30 minute drive inland. Portmeirion village is also within half an hour. There's a local golf course, and the wider Lleyn Peninsula has a lot of beaches to explore.
Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included. There's no parking right at the house, but there is a public car park a short walk away. Sorry, we don't take pets.
