Ty Hir is in Bryncir, Gwynedd. It's an old longhouse attached to the main farmhouse, Hen Dy. We live next door in the farmstead if you need anything.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is warm and the rooms are comfortable. The kitchen has an Aga. The living room has books on the walls and a woodburning stove.
The stairs are quite steep and narrow. It's an old building so that's just how they are. The garden is enclosed. You can park right outside.
There's a cycle track about 200 yards away. It's the old railway line, so it's flat and good for walking or cycling. It goes to Caernarfon one way and towards the coast the other.
Criccieth is about six miles away. It's got a castle and a beach. Porthmadog is a bit further, about 10 miles. For a bigger day out, Snowdonia is within half an hour. You can drive to some of the main trailheads from here.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. The property has some wheelchair accessible features at the entrance, but please check with us for specific needs as it's an old building.
