Eithinog Ganol

This is Eithinog Ganol. It's a detached farmhouse near Penygroes, up its own private track through fields. It's quiet out here.

It sleeps eight people, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It has a 5 Star rating, which basically means it's well-equipped and in good order, it's not just a posh badge. You can bring one dog.

The views are the main thing. From the back, you look right at the Snowdonia mountains. From the front, you can see over to Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula. On a clear day, you can sometimes spot the Holyhead ferries heading out.

It's got a wood burner and a hot tub in the garden. The garden's enclosed. There's parking on site.

For facilities, it has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.

The location is good for getting to both the mountains and the coast. Caernarfon is about fifteen minutes by car. The castle is there, and shops and places to eat. The beach at Dinas Dinlle is roughly ten to fifteen minutes away. The Welsh Highland steam railway starts in Caernarfon too.

There's a shop about a mile and a half away. The nearest pub and restaurant are in Llanwnda, about three miles.

If you're looking for things to do, the Snowdonia National Park site is useful, and Visit Wales has ideas for the whole area.
