Elidir Cottage is on a farm near Dinas. It's detached from the main farm buildings, so you've got your own space. The views from the back are good. You can see Caernarfon Castle, Elidir mountain, Snowdon, and Anglesey on a clear day.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, both doubles. There are two bathrooms, one is downstairs which is handy. It's got the 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and in good order.
The cottage is about a hundred years old and has been converted. The ceilings are a bit low in places, which is normal for these old buildings. The doorways too. If you're very tall, you'll need to mind your head.
You can walk to the village shop and pub in about ten minutes. They're fine. Caernarfon is a five-minute drive. It's a proper town with the castle, shops, and places to eat. The Welsh Highland Railway steam train goes through the village in the summer. You can hear it sometimes.
Dinas Dinlle beach is about five miles away. It's a shingle beach, good for families. There are other beaches around the Llyn Peninsula, like the one with Ty Coch pub, which is about twenty miles.
For walking, you're right on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. The Lon Eifion cycle path starts in the village and goes to Caernarfon. There's a golf course nearby and you can arrange horse riding locally.
It's got parking on the drive. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's bicycle storage if you bring bikes. No pets allowed.
If you're planning days out, the Caernarfon Castle website is useful for tickets.
