Elidir Cottage
Elidir Cottage is near Dinas in Gwynedd. It's our place on the farm. It's detached and looks out over the fields towards Snowdonia. You can see Caernarfon Castle and the mountains from the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both ensuite, so there are two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's a converted old building, about a hundred years old, so the walls are thick and it feels solid. It's been done up to be comfortable.
The village of Bontnewydd is a ten-minute walk away. There's a shop and a pub there. Caernarfon is about five minutes in the car. That's where the big castle is. The Welsh Highland Railway steam train goes through the village in the summer, which is nice to see.
For the beach, Dinas Dinlle is about five miles. It's good for families. There's a longer, sandier beach at Morfa Nefyn about twenty miles away, with the Ty Coch pub right on the sand.
You're right on the edge of Snowdonia for walking. The Lon Eifion cycle path starts in the village and goes to Caernarfon. For something different, the longest zip wire in the world is at Bethesda, about fifteen miles away.
What's here: parking, wifi, TV, a dishwasher, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you bring them. No pets, I'm afraid.
