Hendy is a detached cottage in the village of Waunfawr.
It's a three star place. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. Sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One dog is fine.
You're on the edge of the village, looking out at fields. There's a garden and patio with a barbecue. It's detached, so no shared walls. Parking for two cars right outside.
Inside, it's a typical cottage layout. The stairs are normal cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. We put in WiFi and a TV. Bedding is included, and there's a cot and highchair if you need them. Washing machine too.
The local pub is about a five minute walk. They brew their own beer. The village shop is good for basics.
Location is the main thing. You're about three miles from Caernarfon with its castle. The coast, like Dinas Dinlle, is about fifteen minutes by car.
For walking, you're right on the doorstep for Snowdonia. The Wales Coast Path is close. The Welsh Highland Railway station is in the village, so you can get the steam train up to Rhyd Ddu or down to Caernarfon or Porthmadog without driving.
If you're planning days out, these sites are useful: National Trust Snowdonia and Snowdonia National Park Authority.
The cottage is on a working farm, so you'll see sheep in the fields. Sometimes you can hear farm noises.
