The Old Stable is our place just outside Bethel in North Wales. It's a small detached cottage. It used to be a stable, as you can guess. Now it's a holiday let.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
There are no stairs anywhere. Everything is on one level. That's good if you have trouble with steps or you've got a pushchair. The doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair too.
The main room is open plan: living room, dining table, and kitchen all together. There's a proper stone fireplace. You can't light a fire in it, but it looks nice. The back door opens into the garden. It's enclosed, so dogs or kids can't wander off. Sorry, no pets though.
It's a rural spot. You're in the countryside but not isolated. Bethel village is about a ten minute walk. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there.
You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. Snowdonia National Park is about a fifteen minute drive. That's where you go for walks, climbing, or zip wires. Llanberis is close. You can walk around Llyn Padarn or get the train up Snowdon from there.
The coast is about twenty minutes away if you drive towards Caernarfon. The castle there is worth seeing. It's run by Cadw. From there, you can get over to Anglesey in half an hour or so.
For facilities: everything's included. Heating, WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels. There's parking right outside.
