This is Bryn Menai. It's a converted farm building in Seion, Gwynedd. A pair of them, actually. The main thing is the view. You're up a bit of a hill, so from the front you look out over fields towards Snowdonia and across to Anglesey. You can just see the Menai Strait between them.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both en-suite. It's modern and bright inside. There's an open plan kitchen and living area. It feels clean, not cluttered.
You're about four miles from Caernarfon. That's where the big castle is. It's a World Heritage site. The Cadw page for Caernarfon Castle has visiting information.
Bangor is two miles the other way. You can cross the bridges there to get onto Anglesey. Beaumaris is a nice town with another castle. There are beaches on the island, like Newborough or Benllech.
Llanberis is eight miles south. That's the main place for going up Snowdon on the mountain railway. The slate museum there is really interesting if you like industrial history.
For walks, you can start straight from the door on the local lanes. More serious walks in Snowdonia National Park are a short drive. The Snowdonia National Park website is useful for planning.
Facilities: there's a parking space right outside. A patio with furniture. Inside there's WiFi, a dishwasher, washing machine, and towels and bedding are included. You can bring two dogs.
There's a shop and a pub that does food about a mile and a half away.
