Gadlas
Gadlas is a barn conversion in Dinas, near Caernarfon. It's all on one level, which makes it straightforward. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it sleeps six comfortably. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well looked after.
The main thing is the view. From the living room and kitchen windows you can see the mountains, including Snowdon. You can also see the turrets of Caernarfon Castle in the distance. It's very quiet here, just fields.
You can walk to Dinas Station in about five minutes. That's for the Welsh Highland Steam Railway. You can get the train to Porthmadog or down to Caernarfon from there. It's handy.
For getting out, Caernarfon is three miles away. The castle is the main event there. Llanberis is about eight miles, which is where you get the Snowdon Mountain Railway if you want to go up to the summit without the walk. If you want something faster, Zip World is about half an hour's drive.
The coast is close. Anglesey is about ten miles away, so you've got Beaumaris and the Menai Strait. The Lleyn Peninsula starts around fourteen miles west, with good beaches. Porthdinllaen is out that way.
There's a pub that does food about half a mile down the lane.
What's here: parking right outside, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ and a shed if you bring bikes. No pets, sorry.
