Madryn

This is our cottage, Madryn. It's in Clynnog Fawr, right on the North Wales coast. It's a mid-terrace cottage, so you've got neighbours either side, but it's quiet here. The front is on the village lane, opposite St Beuno's church, which is very old. The back has a small, enclosed garden.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and everything should be in good order.

You're basically right on the coastal path here. Walk out the door, turn left, and you're on it in a minute. The views across to Anglesey are very good. There's a pebble beach a short walk down the lane, about half a mile. It's not a sandy beach, but it's good for a paddle or watching the sea.

The village has a shop and a cafe. For a pub or a restaurant, you'll need to drive, about eight to ten miles. You're in a good spot for getting around. Caernarfon is about nine miles south. It's got the castle and a decent high street. The Llyn Peninsula is to the west, so places like Nefyn, Pwllheli, and Abersoch with their sandy beaches are within a 30-minute drive.

Snowdonia is to the east. It's about a 20-minute drive to the edge of the National Park if you want to go walking. For things like Zip World or the mountain railway, you're looking at maybe a 40-minute drive, depending on traffic.

Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you're bringing little ones.
