White Sands

White Sands is a penthouse apartment in Criccieth. It's in the old St Deiniol's Church, which is a listed building. You get the whole top floor, up two flights of stairs. It's quiet up there.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything is in good order. The stairs are the main thing to know about. They're the original church stairs, so they're quite narrow and winding.

The big stained-glass windows are the best part. The light in the main room is really nice.

You're right in the middle of things. The local pub is about a minute's walk. A couple of restaurants and cafes are about the same. The pebble beach is maybe five minutes walk down the hill.

Criccieth Castle is a short walk up the hill. It's run by Cadw and the views from there are good. For a bigger trip, Harlech Castle is about half an hour's drive south.

Porthmadog is five miles away. That's where you can get the Welsh Highland Railway up towards Beddgelert. The edge of Snowdonia National Park is basically at Porthmadog. For walking, you've got the coast path right there, or you can drive into the mountains in under half an hour.

Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's one parking space on site. No pets, sorry.
