Ty Main Cottage is a bungalow in Newborough on Anglesey. It's detached but next to our house, which is handy if you need anything. All on one level.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one wet room bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and functional. The open plan living area is fine. You get the enclosed courtyard garden to yourself. It's paved, part of the old farmyard.
The local pub is about half a mile away. So is the Marram Grass café, which people like. The shop is there too.
You're about three miles from Newborough beach and the forest. You can drive or walk through the woods to get there. The beach is huge when the tide's out. You can walk out to Llanddwyn Island from it. The forest itself is good for a walk if the beach is too windy.
Things to do nearby: the Tacla Taid transport museum is just over the road if that's your thing. Foel Farm Park is a short drive for kids. Plas Newydd is about a twenty minute drive. It's a National Trust house with gardens and views over the Menai Strait.
Beaumaris is about half an hour by car. You've got the castle and the pier there. The drive along the coast towards Holyhead is nice.
For facilities: it has a washing machine, WiFi, TV, parking right outside, and a barbecue in the courtyard. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
