Gallt Y Balch is a semi-detached cottage on our farm in Hermon, on Anglesey. We run cattle and sheep here. The view from the back is over the Malltraeth Estuary, and you can see the Snowdonia mountains in the distance on a clear day.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but it's not a show home. The French windows in the living room open onto a patio and a bit of lawn. That's your space. It's a good spot to sit and look at the view.
You're right in the middle of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Newborough beach is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a fantastic beach. Great for walks. The forest there is good for cycling.
The local shop and the pub are a mile away in Llanfaelog. The pub does food. For a restaurant, you'd drive to Brynsiencyn, about four miles.
If you're looking for things to do, Plas Newydd house is nearby. It's a National Trust property. The Anglesey Sea Zoo is popular. Foel Farm Park is good if you have children. Beaumaris is a nice town to visit, with its castle and some independent shops. It's about a twenty-five minute drive.
The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a washing machine, a cot if you need one, bedding is included, and you can park right outside. We don't allow pets, sorry. There's a BBQ you can use.
