Pen Yr Allt is our house in Llanfaelog. It's on Anglesey, up a farm track, so it's quiet. You're next door to our place, but you've got your own garden and driveway.
The main thing is the view. From the upstairs living room, you can see right across the fields to Snowdonia on one side and out to sea on the other. It's not a postcard view, it's just what you get. That room faces southwest, so it gets the sun in the evenings.
It's an old stone cottage, so the walls are thick and it stays cool in summer. We've updated it to a good standard. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, which helps with a full house. The stairs are the original ones, so they turn a corner and are a typical cottage width.
It's about half a mile to the beach. You can walk it in ten minutes. That's Traeth Crigyll, which is a sandy beach. Rhosneigr is a couple of miles down the road for the bigger dunes and the water sports. There's a shop in the village, about 500 yards away. The pub and a restaurant are about half a mile.
For days out, the whole coast path is on your doorstep. The RSPB reserve at South Stack is about twenty minutes by car. Beaumaris with its castle is half an hour. You can drive into Snowdonia in about forty-five minutes.
What's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. There's parking for three cars on the gravel. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
