Lapwing
Lapwing is a cottage on Anglesey, near Llanfihangel yn Nhowyn. It's a single storey place, sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It used to be a farm building, so the ceilings are high with old beams. There's a wood burner for winter.
The track down to it is a private farm track. It's uneven, so you just take it slow. You're not in a village. It's quiet, with fields all around.
Out the front, you look west over a paddock towards Snowdonia. The sunsets are good. Because it's so dark here, on a clear night you can see a lot of stars.
It's good for wildlife. The RSPB Valley Wetlands reserve is right next door. We get a lot of birds. Owls, curlews, lapwings. There's a footpath opposite the cottage that leads straight into the reserve.
Rhosneigr beach is about a 15 minute drive. It's a big sandy beach, good for water sports. There are a few pubs and cafes there. The drive to Rhoscolyn is about the same.
Facilities: it's all on one level, with a walk-in shower, so it's accessible if you need that. There's parking right outside, a washing machine, a patio with a barbecue, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
