Swallows Nest
Swallows Nest is a bungalow next to our house, in Llanfihangel yn Nhowyn. That's on Anglesey. It's a bit off the main road so it's quiet, but you're only a minute from the A55.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. Everything's on one level, so no stairs. It's got the 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable.
The main thing is the view. You look out over fields from the front. There's a wood burner for chilly nights. The patio is enclosed, so it's secure if you're bringing dogs. We allow up to two.
You're about three miles from the nearest beach. Benllech is probably the closest, with sand. The shop and the pub are two miles away in Brynteg. The pub does food.
Being on the A55, you can get to most places on the island quickly. Beaumaris is about twenty minutes. Holyhead for the ferry is maybe half an hour. The drive into Snowdonia is straightforward, you can be at the foot of the mountains in under thirty minutes.
For things to do: the National Trust has a few properties here like Plas Newydd. Snowdonia National Park is the obvious one for walks. For railway enthusiasts, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway is in Porthmadog, which is about forty minutes drive.
What's here: parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can use the barbecue.
