This is the house at 9 The Retreat in Rhosneigr. It’s a new build townhouse on a modern development, set back from the main street. It’s quiet, but you can walk to everything in the village in a few minutes.
It sleeps eight across five bedrooms, with two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is an ensuite off the main bedroom. The main bedroom’s on the top floor and has a view out to the sea and the mountains. There’s a small adjoining room up there too, with a child’s bed, suitable for a young kid or for putting a cot in.
Downstairs is open plan. The kitchen’s a good size and the living area has French doors that open out to the garden. The garden is enclosed and gets the sun, so it’s safe for kids and alright for sitting out.
It’s got a 4 Star rating. That means it’s well-equipped and comfortable. It’s modern, so the stairs are fine. The entrance and everything is on one level, so it’s accessible if you need that.
Rhosneigr itself is a small seaside village. The beach is a short walk. It’s known for surfing and windsurfing. If you’ve never tried it, there are surf schools right there on the beach you can book with.
A little way inland, about a ten minute drive, is Llynnon Mill. It’s a working windmill where they grind flour. They have a bakery and a tearoom.
For a bigger day out, Holyhead is about 20 minutes by car. The sea zoo is near there. Beaumaris, with its castle and pier, is about half an hour’s drive around the coast. The National Trust looks after a few spots on the island, like the lighthouse at South Stack, which is about 25 minutes away.
In terms of what’s here: there’s a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. The local pub is walkable.
