The Snug is in Caergeiliog, on Anglesey. It's attached to our house, but you've got your own front door and it's completely separate. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That makes it pretty straightforward.
It sleeps four, but it's best for two adults and two children, or maybe three adults maximum. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom with a good shower. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids or dogs.
We're on the edge of the village. It's quiet. You can see fields from the back. There's a pub and a shop about a mile down the road. The main reason you'd stay here is for the coast. Trearddur Bay is about ten minutes by car. It's a really nice sandy beach. There are loads of other beaches and little coves all along that west coast.
You can park a boat or store bikes here if you're bringing them. We've had people bring small fishing boats before.
For days out, you're about half an hour from Snowdonia National Park. South Stack Lighthouse is a classic visit. Beaumaris Castle is good if you like that sort of thing. The Plas Newydd house and gardens are National Trust and worth a look.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a kitchen area, a sitting area with a TV, and a dining table. There's WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. We leave a BBQ out for you to use.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's not huge, but it's a good base. You can come back muddy from the beach or from a walk and just hose off outside.
