Gardd Efa

Gardd Efa is in Llanfaethlu, which is up on the north west coast of Anglesey. It's a detached house. Sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. There are stairs inside that are open and a bit steep, just so you know.

The best thing is the view. You look out over fields towards the sea. The master bedroom has a little glass balcony to stand on and take it in. It's a ten minute walk to the beach, about half a mile. The beach is rocky, more for exploring than sunbathing.

It's quiet here. The village has a shop about a mile and a half away. The nearest pub is in Cemaes, which is a drive. You're really coming for the peace and the coast. The house has a wood burner, a decent sized kitchen with a breakfast bar, and an enclosed patio garden.

For days out, Cemaes Bay is about seven miles. Holyhead is twelve miles, that's where the ferry to Ireland goes from. The RSPB South Stack Cliffs are a twenty minute drive, it's good for a walk even if you're not a big birdwatcher. Beaumaris is a nice town, about a thirty minute drive around the coast.

The facilities are all there: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on the drive. It's wheelchair accessible to get in, but the stairs inside mean it's not fully accessible throughout.

If you're planning, the Visit Anglesey site is useful, and National Trust Wales has places like Plas Newydd nearby.
