Y Angorfa - The Anchorage
This is Y Angorfa, or The Anchorage. It's in Llanfair yng Nghornwy, which is on the north-west coast of Anglesey. It's a single storey bungalow, built in 2020. Detached, so no neighbours right next to you. The garden is fully enclosed.
It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. Three are kingsize rooms, each with its own en-suite shower room. The fourth is a twin room, which has a family bathroom next to it. Everything is on the ground floor.
The main living area is open plan: kitchen, dining, and sitting room. The windows look out over fields towards the sea. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen has two full-size fridge freezers, a Rangemaster, and a wine fridge. There's a large TV with Netflix.
The garden is a good size, safely fenced. It's useful if you have dogs or children. We allow up to four pets. There's outside furniture and a BBQ. Parking is on the drive.
Being on the coast, you can walk straight out onto the headland. The Cemlyn nature reserve is nearby for birdwatching. You can often see seals, and sometimes porpoises or dolphins from the shore.
For a day out, Holyhead is about a 20 minute drive. The South Stack Cliffs are about 25 minutes away for a good walk. You can get to the beach at Cemaes Bay in about 15 minutes.
Facilities include bed linen and towels, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair. It has a 5 Star rating. For Christmas bookings, we put a tree and decorations up.
