Llwyn Ysgaw is our place in Cemaes on Anglesey. It's detached, so no one next door. Big garden, fully enclosed, good for kids or dogs. You can fit three cars on the drive.
It sleeps eleven. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped, clean and comfortable. It's a family house, really, not a show home. Everything works.
Cemaes is a working village, not a tourist spot. The harbour's nice. There's a choice of beaches within walking distance: the main one is shale, but there are sandy coves if you know where to look. There's a small Co-op, a couple of pubs that do food, and a good chippy.
The coastal path runs right past the village. You can walk to Wylfa headland one way or Porth Wen the other. Good for a proper stretch.
For days out, you're well placed. South Stack lighthouse is about a 25 minute drive. Holyhead is the same for shops. Beaumaris is about 40 minutes, nice for a wander around the castle and the front. The National Trust looks after a few spots on the island, like Porthdinllaen.
The facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's local fishing and horse riding if you're into that.
