The Windmill
The Windmill is in Glan yr afon, on Anglesey. It's a quiet spot, pretty rural. You can't miss the building, it's a proper old windmill that was on that TV show, Restoration Man. It's detached and you get the garden to yourselves.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. They're on different floors, which is good for privacy. The stairs to the top floor are steep. They're the space-saving type, more like a ladder. You need to be steady on your feet.
The best bit is the top room. It's a third living room with a small balcony. The views from up there are really good, out over the fields. On a clear day you can see for miles.
There's a shop and a pub about three miles away. Rhosneigr beach is a ten minute drive. It's sandy and good for swimming or windsurfing.
If you want to go further, South Stack cliffs are about twenty minutes away. The RSPB has a reserve there. Plas Newydd, the National Trust house, is worth a visit. Beaumaris with the castle is nice for a wander. You can get into Snowdonia in about half an hour.
For facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
