The Top Barn
The Top Barn is one of three holiday cottages here at Melin Newydd. It's a converted barn, detached from the others. It's in Glan yr afon, which is a quiet, rural spot on Anglesey.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a barn conversion, so there are a lot of original features. It has an open plan living area.
The place is detached and you have your own parking. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
It's a quiet area. The nearest shop and pub are about three miles away. A good restaurant is about five miles.
You're about a ten minute drive from Rhosneigr beach. It's a nice sandy beach. The whole island is coast, really, so you're never far from a beach or a cove.
Within a half hour drive you've got a few places. There's the RSPB reserve at South Stack near Holyhead. Foel Farm Park is good for children, and the Anglesey Sea Zoo. Plas Newydd, the National Trust house, is worth a visit. Beaumaris is a pretty town with its castle. If you want to go to the mainland, the mountains of Snowdonia are about a thirty minute drive.
