The Snug
The Snug is a ground floor studio apartment in Y Felinheli. It's really a place for two people, maybe a couple or a solo traveller. You've got your own separate entrance.
It's compact, which is why I'm calling it The Snug. There's a comfortable bed, a small seating area with a TV, and a basic kitchenette for doing breakfasts and simple meals. The shower room is separate and everything's clean and modern. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything you need is there, it just isn't a lot of space.
You're a short walk from the village centre. There are a couple of pubs that do food, and you can get basic supplies. The Menai Strait is right there, so you can watch the boats. It's very much a working waterway, not a resort beach, which I like.
Caernarfon castle is about three miles away. It's the big one. You can be there in ten minutes. Caernarfon itself has all the shops and things.
For walking, you've got the Wales Coast Path on your doorstep. You can walk one way towards Bangor and the bridges, or the other way towards the castle. The Snowdonia National Park starts just south of here. You can drive into the mountains in about twenty minutes.
Facilities are all as listed. WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Parking is on the street outside.
