Pencefn Cottage is in Pentir, about four miles outside Bangor. It's a detached stone cottage. The garden looks out towards the mountains. We're up a quiet lane.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one family bathroom. One single bedroom is downstairs, next to the bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, so it’s well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are typical cottage stairs. They turn a corner and are a bit steep.
The kitchen has what you need: dishwasher, washing machine. There's a lounge and a smaller room next to it we call the snug. It's got a chair and bookshelf, good if someone wants a quiet bit.
You can bring one dog. There's a highchair and a cot if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for a couple of cars on the gravel by the cottage.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. Snowdonia is on the doorstep. The Snowdonia National Park site has walking routes. Bangor has shops and supermarkets. Anglesey is about twenty minutes drive over the bridge. Visit Anglesey has information on beaches and days out.
Zip World in Bethesda is probably a ten minute drive. They have the zip lines and other things. There's a golf course nearby, and you can arrange fishing or horse riding locally. You're about half an hour from Caernarfon and its castle, which is run by Cadw.
